It is with a great deal of pride that we present the Fall 2007 AI Sire lineup at Southern Advantage Sires, LLC. Our approach to the semen business from day one has been to provide genetics to the showpig industry that represent some of the BEST INDIVIDUALS from GREAT PROGRAMS.

Southern Advantage Sires LLC has been  fortunate to establish a reputation as a supplier of reliable, industry-leading genetics to established showpig producers and breeders. Less-experienced producers have been able to turn to SAS for championship producing lines and foundation genetics. If you start out right, you don't have to start over.

From our beginning at SAS, the genetics we provide to our customers have helped to produce many wonderful experiences while enhancing the quality and the reputation of the product that results from the show industry. During the past three years, the number of winners produced by our boars has been staggering when considering the length of time we have been in business and the number of boars housed. Many county, district and state shows, as well as jackpots, majors and national events have seen SAS-sired pigs surface to the top. Nationwide, under a variety of judges, the results of our approach have yielded splendid results. Results like these are no mistake... THE PROGRAM APPROACH to selling semen simply works.

Our pricing structure is designed to allow for the affordable purchase of genetics from some of the best individuals from great programs. We offer volume pre-paid contracts on all boars and overrun semen on some boars. It is not recommended to wait for overrun semen sales at SAS during the busy breeding seasons. Simply put, the demand  for these genetics from our best boars outweighs the supply. Great ones don't come along every day and their genetics are not cheap. We do not acquire boars to simply hype them and sell semen. Every boar placed at SAS is here for a reason. We research the sows behind each of them, as well as the programs they originate from. This careful research has let us to two programs that we purchase the majority of our boars from... Steve Cobb Family and Jerry McLemore herds are mainly relponsible for most of our genetics. We have a high degree of confidence in both of these programs that have established track record of producing genetics that breed on for others. However, we are always searching for industry-improving genetics. Recently a Yorksire boar from Jerry Pippin that is a PIN3 Survivor 4-9 x ARK2 Timeless 65-5 has been added to the lineup at SAS. These recent additions allow for some genetic diversity in the exotic division.

Semen quality is carefully monitored by our experienced processing staff. At SAS, we stand behind our product. In the event that problems arise, please contact us - we will handle each concern on a case-by-case basis. This is the same semen with which we breed our own sows, so semen quality is of the utmost importance to us as well.
